So I’ve been thinking about starting a blog for a while now. Isa from the PPK posted about VeganMoFo… and it made me think harder… which made me actually do something about it. Combine that with the fact that the PPK is down (which rarely happens) and I have some extra time on my hands. Some of that time is going to be dedicated to writing about vegan food.
Let me warn you that I am not exactly computer savvy. In fact, I pretty much suck at computers and leave all that stuff to my husband. It may take a while to get the hang of this. Enough excuses. On to the cooking stuff.
Since Veganomicon came out, most of my cooking has come from that. But tonight we’re having Frecklefoot’s Penne a la Vodka and I feel a little bit like I’m straying. But I’m ok with it. We’re just talking recipes. I’m constantly amazed at all the great recipes that I’ve been able to lift from blogs! Sometimes I think people blog recipes just to keep themselves organized, rather than trying to round up all those scraps of paper that have hieroglyphics on that we call recipes. The idea of sneaking into another vegan’s kitchen and getting to raid their recipes from states or even countries away, makes my mouth water. Thank you to all of you who share!
Now, just to make your mouth water, I plan to start posting pictures (including testers from Lolo and a new cookie book from Autumn Vegan and Garrick at the PPK), and even a pic of an idea I actually did steal from a PPK’er named Super Carrot. (Hint: it’s not a recipe). Thanks, Carrot!
Thanks to Katie of Don’t Eat off the Sidewalk for the cool banner. Her second zine is out and she even bothered to reprint the first one for the slackers who were too slow. Get them both while you can.
It’s on, VeganMoFo! ( I think I always wanted to say that. Or something like that.)
P.S. This was actually posted yesterday, before I changed my blog name. But on this new blog, it shows today. You get the picture.
