Sung to the tune of "Summertime and the Living is Easy" by Gershwin, with a slight slur on the "S'not" so it sounds more like "znot" than "snot" but so it fits the syllables, if you know what I mean.
And I think you do know what I mean, Dear Reader. Few of us seem to be blogging nearly as often as we do the rest of the year. There are a few die-hards that are updating loyally. I really appreciate your efforts, and I admire you for it. Even the PPK, my favorite board, is seeing fewer posts. It seems like everyone is busy doing all kinds of fun things away from the computer and it shows.
To make up for it, here's a quickie post with a fantastic plate of food and a reminder on the Book Contest. I'll let it go another week or so, just in case you've missed it.
As far as the dinner goes, it couldn't be easier. Steam some red potaotes and skewer them with onions and seitan. Sometimes I add peppers, sometimes I don't. Give it a good dousing of BBQ sauce and throw it on the grill, along with some corn and you can keep your kitchen cool and still eat well.

mm... I went on a corn kick and sort of got burnt out... but that has me cravin' it again... nothing really says summer like corn on the cob huh??
Summer is here! It's far more fun to be anywhere but the computer!
i know what you mean... it's so hard to squeeze blogging in when there are so many other summertime funs to be had!
I have no excuse for my lack of blogging....wintertime blues instead of summertime fun maybe? Either way this looks yummy and I'm keeping it in mind for when the warm weather decides to arrive over here!
