Contest! Your Pick of 3 (!!!) Prizes: R-A-W

Thanks to the Book Publishing Company, I'm holding a contest that features 3 prizes, all from Jennifer Cornbleet. The first winner will win their pick of the prizes, the second will pick from the remaining 2, with the third winner getting the remaining prize. Here's the scoop on the goods.

Behind Curtain Number One...

I'll be blunt. The idea of preparing raw food scares me a little. I love the idea of eating it, and can wolf down raw veggies like there's no tomorrow, but the idea of putting raw ingredients together and making a "dish" is intimidating. That's where this book comes in. It has recipes that look tasty and easy... and like something I would enjoy eating. There is a great sounding Marinara Sauce; a Tahini Lemon Dressing that sounds incredible; Carrots with Moroccan Spices; Marinated Vegetables and so much more. This book is exciting and really looks do-able.

Behind Curtain Number Two...

If preparing a raw dish is scary, the idea of putting together a dessert could be downright traumatic! Nonetheless, I'm anxious to try some of these recipes. Come on, Jumble Berry Upside-Down Cake? That's just for a start. There are a few ice cream recipes, a Chocolate Fudge Tart that looks rich and delicious, and Key Lime Pots de Creme! The Caramel Apple Stacks would be an ideal way to finish a fall meal. This book has something to fit any taste or occasion. Did I mention candy recipes?

And.. Behind Curtain Number Three....

This is sealed in plastic so I can't tell you a whole lot about it, but I figure the mystery is better than me sending you a previously viewed DVD. According to the back of the case, this expands on the ideas from Raw Food Made Easy. Some of the information includes setting up your kitchen, the basics of making a few ingredients ahead of time to make your life easier and how to actully make some of the recipes. There is also a study guide with recipes, info on portable lunches and traveling in the raw.

If you're even a little interested in incorporating raw foods into your diet, any of these prizes would be a great way to do it. Jennifer Cornbleet is recognized as an accomplished and creative raw food chef/teacher. One of her strengths seems to be in not only inspriring people to eat more raw food, but to help them create the dishes with ease. In looking at these books, I'm impressed that it looks so simple.

So here's how it's going to work. The first phase of this contest is going to close on Wednesday, October 7 around 12 noon EDT. I'm leaving for vacation at the end of the week, so if you get your mailing address and choice to me by Thursday morning, I'll be able to get this out to you before I go. If not, it will have to wait until I get home. My email address is in the right column so be sure to check back and see if you won.

To enter: post a comment to this blog giving me 3 favorite foods/dishes/edibles, one that starts with R, one that starts with A, and one that starts with W. For example, raisins, asparagus, water.

Rounds 2 and 3 are still to come. Good luck!

book publishing company,
I'm sorry but that contest was from last year. It's over. I do new contests all the time, so maybe you'll have better luck.
