Love Soup Winner and Vietnamese Noodle Salad

Wow, what a big day! It’s the first day of VeganMoFo 2009! To celebrate, one lucky blog reader just won a copy of Love Soup…..and it’s Allison (#14), who said,

“…This past weekend I enjoyed some spicy veggie chili that featured corn as an ingredient on top of baked potatoes, yum. The soup cookbook looks wonderful!”

That sounds like a delicious chili, Allison. Please email me your mailing address so I can get this book in the mail to you. Wishing you many happy pots of soup!

If you didn’t win this go-around, hopefully you’ll have better luck next time, Dear Reader, when you’ll have a chance to win a book or dvd from JenniferCornbleet, of raw fame. (Coming soon!)

Wondering what that delicious looking meal is up top? It’s Vietnamese Noodle Salad, a tester for Isa’s weight loss book. Yes, you read that right. Even though it looks like ‘real food’, it’s healthy! All the dishes I’ve tested are so full of flavor that they beat their oil-packed, calorie-jammed versions that we’re used to. This is going to be a great book!

Happy VeganMoFo to all who are participating this year. With our numbers soaring, it’s sure to be an amazing month of vegan food writing. Over the next month, I’m going to be doing Food Network Friday (tomorrow), a few book reviews (and contests), some recipes, some restaurant photos, and whatever else pops up. I can’t wait to see what everybody else does. There are some fantastic theme ideas bouncing around the PPK.

Here’s to the most incredible VeganMoFo ever!

    Happy VeganMoFo!

Would I still lose weight if I ate that entire plate of noodle salad?

ooh, I love Jennifer Cornbleet. I’m hoping to get her raw dessert book soon. I’m hoping to join FNF on the 16th.
