Risotto Stuffed Banana Peppers with Basil Lime Sauce
We started with this amazing appetizer. The sauce was especially good and the perfect accent for the peppers.

Tomato Artichoke Bisque
This came with the grilled cheese sandwich, always a popular combo. The avocado hearts gave this soup a little something extra.
Back on the Chain Gang Sausage Sandwich
Jim got this fat sandwich, made with a Field Roast sausage. He really enjoyed it. It's got onions and peppers, juse like it should. You can see some of the greens here, too. Vegiterranean has some of the best greens of any Ohio restaurant we've visited. Of course, he got the Chrissie fries, too. They're topped with a delicious rosemary ricotta.
This isn't the first time I've posted about the restaurant and it definitely won't be my last. To see the previous posts, check these out. If you happen to be in the area, the restaurant is definitely worth a visit. If it's your first time, get the Rockin' Burger! Our first trip there.
A dessert write-up.
December, 2007.
Those peppers were so good that I tried to make them this weekend. That will be tomorrow's post... but think of it as a super secret restaurant throw down, Bobby Flay style, but way more stealthy.

Ohh Vegiterranean is so good! I've been there once, a year or so ago, and had the piccata made from the gardein. I've had dreams about that since...
oh NOM!!!
I still haven't made it down there. Shame on me! Everything looks so good!
I really want that grilled cheese!
Everything looks so good there! Isn't it great when you can ordered anything off of the menu instead of deciding between one or two items? :-)
My BF's parents live in Cleveland and when we visit next, we will make the trip to Vegiterranean - your photos alone convinced me!!!
Oh man, I'm dying to go there!!
Those stuffed bananas look incredible!!!!!
This is an EXTREMELY late comment, but I just found your blog (linked from Vegan Crunk) and have been catching up. My husband works at Vegiterranean, and I just wanted to let you know that the cheese on the grilled cheese (and ALL the cheese they use, incidentally. Until they start using Daiya, which might be soon!)) is Follow Your Heart Vegan Gourmet. Much easier to find in NEO than Teese!
Olivia, better late than never. Thanks for your comment! Now you've reminded me that it's been far too long since we've taken a roadtrip to Akron.
What a cool place for your husband to work.
