Cookbook Winner, FNF, and Cream Puffs

It’s been a busy few days here, so I’m a day late in my date with random.org to pick the winner for Vegan on the Cheap. The winner is number 18, Jessica, who said, “I stick to buying whatever is on sale, grow my own herbs in my window, and go to discount grocery stores and various ethnic markets. Buying in bulk also saves a lot of money.” Please email me and I’ll get your book on the way.

Thank you very much to all of you for entering and for all the savings ideas. That incredible compilation will help us all. I just wish everyone could win a copy of this book, too!

Food Network Friday wraps up June 4th. If you’d like to join us, veganize this recipe (originally from Rachel Ray) and either email me your results or comment on that day’s post here. This one was Amy’s choice, and she’s made some good ones in the past. I really want to make that inside out pizza panini again that was one of her earlier picks.

Wondering what that plate of deliciousness is up top? They’re cream puffs! It’s a test recipe for Carla’s upcoming book. She was very generous in letting me test them after I suggested the idea. Her recipe is a winner!

Update! VegWeb is doing a giveaway of American Vegan Kitchen. Go enter!

Have a wonderful looonnnggg weekend, everyone! We’re having the Incrediburgers and hope you have a great cookout menu, too.

P.S. Another contest will be coming soon. Don’t miss it.
