…with my very favorite sandwich of all time, the reuben! If this is on the menu, it’s what I always order. Especially in Chicago. During our last trip there, I kept ogling Liz’s California Reuben rather than my own sandwich, because I had lapsed and didn’t get a reuben that visit. You can bet, I learned from that experience and won’t make that mistake again. I even tried a raw reuben at the Loving Cafe in Cincinnati, just because it was a reuben.
For the past year or so, my very favorite reuben has been made from a variation of the corned seitan in Vegan on the Cheap and spread with a my own version of the reuben dressing in Vegan with a Vengeance. To make this a two-fer in favorites post, I always grill the sandwich on my super awesome sandwich griddle.
