Feed Me Friday: Salsas, Asheville, North Carolina

Yet another amazing meal in Asheville! I’m not exaggerating when I say that just about all the recipes have at least one vegan option and most have a few. Even the hardcore barbecue places have vegan dishes featuring tempeh or portabellos! When we happened into this Mexican restaurant right downtown, the menu seemed as if it would work for vegans. And wow, did it ever! Salsas sample menu is online, but it looks quite  a bit smaller than the real in house menu.

We started with the nachos, minus the cheese.

These tofu fajitas had really seared tofu, but it’s hard to tell from the photo.

The “fixings” for the fajitas would have been an incredible meal on their own!

The burrito was awesome, too!

It turns out Hector, the owner, actually has several restaurants with different themes. When we were there in September, construction was underway to expand this restaurant. When you’re there, be sure to try the hot sauce!
