Super Bowl Sunday (aka Super Food Day)

Jim used to be a huge football fan. Then when the Browns left Cleveland for Baltimore, he decided it wasn’t worth his time. We won’t be watching football on Sunday, but we’ll still use event as an excuse to have a fantastic appetizer and small plate spread. Our snacks will taste just as wonderful while watching Downton Abbey and whatever else we happen upon.

No party is complete without wings. I’ve got you covered with some from Food Network Friday (remember that?) that were originally from Tyler Florence. Recipe for the Red Curry Lime Wings here.

    All kinds of good stuff going on! One of these days I’m going to have to try some vegan wings, balsamic maple sounds like an incredible combo. I seriously need an excuse to make the Party Monster, does a party of one count?

    I made the party monster on Sunday, and it was so great! I left out the banana peppers (picky kids!) and added black olives. I doubled the green monster bread so we could have a loaf of that for whatever. My kids really like it. I’m going to have to try the gooey garlic bread — it looks yummy!

    Becky, way to go in making the sandwich to fit your family! That’s one of the coolest things about the Sandwich book! That green monster bread has a regular place in our kitchen, too!
